It's no secret that everyone in our area thinks of Sartell as being a stereotypical 1950's TV show. They're Edina's little brother. Everyone knows they're rich, successful and very clean. But, there's some serious crime that happens there and I think it's pretty under reported.

Here are actual incidents from the Sartell Police blotter...ENJOY!

Come on, officer--the GPS game is serious business! After verifying the man's story, the officer downloaded the app too--is how I wish this story would have ended.

"While on patrol, an officer witnessed a vehicle drive in an area and park. The officer made contact with the driver, who stated he was playing a gps game and needed to park in the area to collect points. The officer did verify the game and no further action was taken."

The truck driver borrowed Harry Potter's cloak of invisibility. Every Sartell resident has one.

"A report was made regarding a truck driving into a construction area and parking. Officers checked the area and were unable to locate the vehicle."

Friday, Oct. 30

I can definitely relate to this one. I've done it a few times. And, yes I do live in Sartell.

"A resident locked themselves out of their vehicle and requested assistance. The officer was able to enter the vehicle without incident."

I mean, when one door closes...

"A report was made regarding a front door left open on a residence. Officers entered the residence and located two female who stated they were unaware the door was open. Nothing seemed to be missing from the residence, no further assistance was needed."

Monday, Nov. 2

Sure, seems like a likely story, Sartell.

"A vehicle was witnessed traveling 48 MPH in a posted 30 MPH zone. The driver stated that she was unaware of her speed. She was issued a citation and released"

He decided to go to his friend's house in St. Cloud because they're more tolerant there.

"A complaint was made regarding an adult male loitering in parking lots. An officer located the male and found that he was waiting for a friend and homeless. He stated that he would go to a friend’s residence nearby."

Meanwhile, in Waite Park...
