The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for most of Central Minnesota in effect through 6 AM Tuesday morning. 8-10" inches of accumulation is expected in the St. Cloud area..

This Winter Storm Warning includes Stearns, Benton, Sherburne, Todd, Kanabec, Morrison, Mille Lacs, Meeker, Isanti, Chisago, and Wright counties in Central Minnesota -- and also includes the Twin Cities metro area.

From the National Weather Service this afternoon: Heavy snowfall continues to inch northward from southern Minnesota. Heavy snow will continue through the evening with snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour. Snow will begin to taper in intensity from mid evening onward.
