Don't get me wrong, I love being engaged--It's just hard on the holidays. Here's what I mean.

I love spending time with  my family, but when you have to go to three or four Christmases in one day, you really do get spread pretty thin!

If you're in a new relationship, things can get a bit more complicated! What happens if the relationship doesn't last? Do you invite that person to join in your secret Santa exchange? Do you invite them into family pictures, or make them awkwardly sit out?

Then, you have to worry about what gift to buy them. If you're in a new relationship you don't want to spend too much money on their gift or they will think you're trying to buy their affection. But, you also don't want to be too cheap. If you've been together long enough, they might tell you they want an Xbox One--AND you're going to feel pressure to buy that for them.

Don't even get me started on the awkward questions from relatives--when are you going to get engaged? If you are engaged, they'll ask you when the kids are coming. It's just so much awkwardness.

This is why life is just better for those who are single on the holidays! ;)
