How do you and your partner sleep together? Turns out your sleep position can say a lot about the state of your relationship.

Back to Back

Do you and your partner sleep back to back but you don't touch? You two are connected, but are each independent enough to sleep separately. You're comfortable and used to each other and accept the others sleeping habits. Almost one third of couples sleep this way. Do you sleep back to back but you touch? Almost one in five couples sleep like this way. This sleep position says that you're comfortable, relaxed with each other and very intimate.

Face to Face

Do you sleep face to face? If you sleep face to face with your heads on your own pillows, that indicates an intimate need for one on one contact. Do you sleep face to face with your legs all tangled up? This one is for the born romantics especially if you don't separate all night. That shows the two of you can't bear to be separated. If you lay down face to face with your legs tangled up for ten minutes or so and then separate to sleep it means that you enjoy a loving independence, but you're still  intimate This is true even though you sleep apart and don't touch.

The Romantic

Ladies, do you fall asleep with your head on your man's chest? This is the way you see everyone laying together on TV and in the movies, but less than one percent of couples sleep this way. This is actually the common way many new couples fall asleep, especially after...ahem...you know. This position shows a new or rekindled love.

The Star Fish

Ladies, do you sleep all splayed out with your man hanging off the bed? That means you rule the roost and the male plays second fiddle and is just fine with that role. Guys, do you sleep all splayed out with your lady hanging off the bed? That means you are king of the bed, you like to get your way and your lady is happy to oblige.

Spooning

This is probably the most traditional position. If the male is on the outside, this shows that he takes the lead and protects his female. If you spoon with the female on the outside, it means that the woman is the leader and is protective of her man. Couples who sleep side by side and curled up with one another is the way most couples sleep in their first few years together. Spooning indicates strong sexual feelings and a sense of security.
