What Should You Have in Your Central Minnesota Winter Car Kit?
If all the forecasts are right, Central Minnesota is going to be getting our first snowfall on Friday. And we're starting to get into the Christmas season which means the snow is going to be pretty and magical! But that also means it's the unofficial start of winter-long horrible driving conditions. From slick roads to icy windshields, operating a car in the winter is a pain. Here is a list of things you can keep in your car to make this winter driving season a little more bearable:
1. Window Scraper
This one might seem obvious but no one ever remembers to put it in the car until we actually need it early one morning and it's nowhere to be found.
2. Blanket
It's always clutch to have a blanket handy for your lovely passengers and precious cargo you don't want to get too chilly.
3. Flashlight
If you have to pull over and try to figure out car troubles or look for your phone under the seat in the pitch dark of a cold winter night, the last thing you want to forget is a flashlight.
4. Back-Up Window Scraper
Trust me. If your first scraper breaks or shatters, you need a plan-B.
5. Duct Tape
Can you think of even one scenario that isn't improved by having duct tape readily available?
6. Emergency Stash of Chocolate
Honestly, driving in the winter can get so stressful and we could all use a little de-stressing bit of goodness.
7. Snowshoes
This one may seem silly but when your car is stranded on the side of a cornfield in the middle of a blizzard, you'll be thanking me!
