What is ‘Mean Girls’ Day?

Today is October 3rd, otherwise known on the internet as Mean Girls Day. You can't go on any social media site today without seeing a hashtag, picture of gif celebrating this "holiday".

This is Lindsey Lohan playing Cady Heron in the 2004 teen movie Mean Girls. In one of the scenes her crush asks her what day it is. It's October 3rd. And that is how a holiday is born. Every year on October 3rd we celebrate all things Mean Girls. The Plastics, the burn book, all things totally "fetch", and of course Tina Fey's witty comedy.
