When the going got tough, did you fold, or rise up?

When it comes to the year 2014, what did you learn about yourself?

I can tell you, my 2014 was INSANE, exhausting, overwhelming, expensive... but worth every second of sleepless nights, long hours worked, countless hours of planning and even panic when I heard the words, "my water broke" and really, the last year and half has moved by so quickly, it was just crazy.

Brittany and I bought and moved into our house in July 2013, we got engaged September 2013 and then found out toward the end of October 2013, that a baby was in our future.

New house, started planning for a wedding and now planning for a baby. It was shaping up to be a BUSY 2014... and it was just that.

While planning the wedding (and if you have been part of planning for a wedding, you know that every LITTLE detail matters), we also had to get to doctor appointments for Brittany and the baby and we started some, small, home remodeling projects. The days quickly started to blur together and it became pretty stressful. We had to run out and buy a white board calender so we could put the dates, times and what appointment we had each week.

I would think we were headed to a meeting for the wedding, when really, I was supposed to be at the doctors office. The white board came in handy.

So, what I leaned about myself and Brittany, is that even when things get crazy... planning, preparing and doing your best to stay calm and not panic, you can achieve a lot. From getting to every meeting for our wedding, doctors appointments, having a baby, finding time for bachelor and bachelorette party, time to ourselves, some time to sleep and stretching EVERY dollar to its VERY MAX... we can make it through hectic times.

Here's to a slower, calmer 2015!
