I'm heading to the Parkwood Cinema in Waite Park tonight to see '50 Shades of Grey.' I didn't read any of the books nor did my wife. We don't practice BDSM in our home, so neither one of us knows what we're in for this evening. I consider myself open minded, so I'm not passing any judgments until I see what all the hype is about for myself.

In the meantime, I reached out to my friends on Facebook and Twitter to get their reviews of the movie. Here's what they had to say.

@Brandi - Not spectacular and it ends abruptly. But I'll have to go see the next one just like I had to read the 2nd and 3rd books despite being so terribly written.

@Rihannon - Went last night. I liked it a lot. And I read the books as well. Zach was pleasantly surprised, he thought it was pretty good. But there's a lot of nudity so maybe that's why he wasn't super opposed to going w me!

@Amanda -  I thought it was good. Never read the book... Chad thought it was the dumbest movie ever!

@Kellie - I went last night, not as good as the book! Lots of key stuff left out. But lots of nudity!

@Amber - I've read the books and saw the movie Thursday. I enjoyed it and thought Dakota did a wonderful job and was very endearing. Jamie was a little less believable as Christian, but much better than I thought he was going to be.

@Missy - It's bad. If you like bad acting, awkward scenes and watching porn with a room full of strangers, you will like it.

@Robin - Ending was abrupt. Went by extremely fast. We did enjoy it though.

@Jackie - Andy and I just got done watching it. I like it more than I thought I would, because of comments I had heard. It had some good humor in it as well. I think people are having a hard time with it, because everyone envisions it differently according to their own fantasies and desires. Andy liked as well.

@Kelly - I saw it tonight and enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would I thought they focused more on the love story it ended exactly the same way as the book did so expected the abrupt ending Dakota did a really good job I thought.

The movie has earned over $90 million dollars since it opened in theaters last Thursday. I'll give you my two cents tomorrow morning on the Get Up & Go Show. Who knows, I may be running out for a blind fold and restraints after seeing this movie.
