Rapids River Days in Sauk Rapids, is the kind of event that brings people together in the community - mostly with; food, games, rides, live music, etc.  But there is a new part of Rapids River Days this year, that is far more important than any game or ride.  That is the "Tanner's Team 5K walk/run".

Tanner Fuls was an 11 year old boy that was full of life.  Vibrant, athletic, and certainly kind-hearted, he was exactly what every parent wants their son to be.  One day, Tanner bumped his arm on a table, and it quickly turned all black and blue.  Unfortunately, this was the beginning of Tanner developing Myelodysplastic Syndrome, and we lost him just four months later.  To read the complete story about Tanner, click here.

The Tanner's Team Foundation helps children and families in our central Minnesota area that are fighting bravely against any childhood disease.  Support the foundation by coming to the 5K walk/ run tomorrow morning at Bob Cross Park - you can make a donation, even if you don't want to walk.

Tanner may have been taken from us far too soon, but his spirit will certainly be with us tomorrow.
