We Have Baby Goats at the Farm!

Yesterday my daughter and I got to witness the birth of two baby goats at our farm. It was one of most fantastic experiences ever!

We got goats a little over a year ago for the farm so we could drink the milk and make cheese and we love both the goats and what they provide for us. Well, to keep getting milk you have to have baby goats.  So last December my goats went off to a farm where the guy goats were willing and yesterday the first babies arrived.

I was a little nervous (okay, a lot nervous) about the delivery but Shimmer handled everything like a pro, the kids were on their feet and drinking milk within an hour of being born and my daughter and I got to witness the miracle of spring babies on the farm.

The kids are both girls, way softer than you would imagine and adorable. My daughter was in charge of naming them...meet Baaa and Baaa.
