MOTLEY -- An Elk River man who has been missing since Monday has been found.

Morrison County Sheriff Shawn Larsen says 51-year-old Glenn Hoppe was found at about 8:30 a.m. this (Friday) morning and is in good physical condition.

Larsen says a passerby found Hoppe walking along 320th Street in Scandia Valley Township. He recognized Hoppe as a reported missing person and dropped him off at the Crookneck Lake Public Access where he was recovered by authorities.

Initial investigation show Hoppe left the Crookneck Lake campsite Monday. He says he was disoriented and after several miles of walking he had wandered off into the woods, where he set up camp and stayed until he was found.

More than a dozen agencies, search dogs, divers, and air and ground search teams, covered the Crookneck Lake and Shamineau Lake areas over the last two days to find Hoppe.

Larsen says Hoppe's family have been notified and details into his disappearance are still under investigation.

He was taken to St. Gabriel's Hospital for an evaluation.
