Was there anyone that ever wrote; slow, mushy, love songs - better than Air Supply?

I suppose that could be debated.

Some call it elevator music.  Some say it's boring.  Others will tell you that all their songs 'sound the same'.  But then again, some will tell you that Air Supply was one of the most unique, and important, bands of the early 80's.

Russell Hitchcock and Graham Russell formed the band in Melbourne, Australia in 1975 - They had a succession of hits worldwide, including eight Top Ten hits in the United States, in the early 1980s.  I don't care what anyone says, you've got to be pretty good to have eight Top 10 hits, EVER!

Ready to stroll down memory lane?  I knew you were.

Those guys need haircuts, and they're standing in outer space?! At least they sound good.  "Lost In Love" was the first song most of the world ever heard from Air Supply.  Then came "I'm All Out Of Love" - another good tune - and yes, ALL of these guys' songs are about LOVE.

I hope you like how the words are there for you.  In case you can't afford a Hallmark Card the next time you need one - just remember some Air Supply lyrics - and you're good.

OK, one more.  I always liked "Here I Am".  Don't laugh.

They just don't write songs like that anymore.  Is that a good thing?  Perhaps.  But, if you miss these guys, or any other 80's music - make sure you call into the Get Up & Go Show w/ Chad & Jen at 8am - it's an hour of all 80's!  Or check out the DRIVE 2 FIVE w/ Ty James every afternoon at 4pm.  One hour of nothing but your requests!

You might even get some Air supply, you never know!
