THE TRAVIS BRANDT STORY

In April of 2014, Travis Brandt was diagnosed with a rare kidney disease called IGA Nephropathy. This disease usually progresses very slowly, but unfortunately, was very aggressive for Travis. Travis was treated with steriods, suppressants and chemotherapy, but it wasn't enough. By August of 2014, he was in need of a kidney, which his brother gave to him in February of this year. He is now doing well, with a great outlook for his future, but he will need immune medications for the rest of his life. You can learn more about Travis by clicking HERE.

THE FAMILY

Travis has worked for the Stearns County Sheriff's Department as a Corrections Officer for the past 16 years. He has two children who attend Sartell Middle School and he is married to Kathi, who worked at Wolters Kluwer Financial Services for 11 years until her autoimmune diseases became severe. She has been unable to work for the past two years. If you can try to imagine the medical expenses for this family that has had some very unfortunate life changing events happening, this local family really needs our help.
