Top Worst Sick Day Excuses Used This Year
I was recently out sick because I was allergic to my sinus infection medication. I had a valid excuse to be out of work. However, every day people invent weird excuses to play hooky.
Career Builder looked at some of the weirdest sick day excuses used this year. Trust me, some of them get pretty awkward. Take a look for yourself.
1. A guy claimed that he was poisoned by his grandma's ham. I mean, I hope he's talking about food poisoning. Otherwise, I'm a little concerned.
2. Someone called in sick to work because they were stuck under their bed. How does this even happen? I'm thinking that it's a little fishy that they were able to get to a phone to call in even though they were stuck.
3. One guy dropped his lunch on the floor and broke his arm trying to catch it. I'd believe it if it happened at work, but honestly, how do you pull that off? That's some next level klutzing going on.
4. We've all felt this one before--a guy claimed that the universe was telling him to take a day off.
5. Ladies, we can all relate to this one. A woman was brushing her hair and poked herself in the eye. I've burned my neck with my hair straightener before. It takes some serious work to look this mediocre every day.
