Today is Unity Day, a Featured Day of National Bullying Prevention Month

Today (10/19) is Unity Day, a featured day of National Bullying Prevention Month, which PACER's National Bullying Prevention Center, based in Minneapolis, initiated in 2006. This is a day when everyone comes together to show their support of preventing bullying , something that affects one in four students nationwide.

Many schools throughout the state will be hosting awareness events, and wearing and sharing orange to demonstrate their commitment to preventing bullying. In Minneapolis, the 35W and Lowry bridges will be lit orange tonight to show their support.
