If you are a little bit of a Halloween candy procrastinator, you might want to know that today is the best day to buy your Halloween candy at the cheapest price. No kidding!  If you wait until the day before Halloween, you'll pay 42% more than if you go buy it today.

HOW MUCH DO YOU SPEND ON HALLOWEEN?

The average person is going to spend about $80 on Halloween this year. That's not all on candy. $22 for candy, $27 on a costume, and $21 on decorations, and around $10 on other Halloweeny stuff.

STATE CANDY PURCHASING HABITS

Believe it or not, Minnesota is not one of the top candy purchasing states. We are beat out by Oregon, Washington, New Jersey, Utah and California. (I thought they only ate health food in California?!)  The States that hate candy? Ohio, Georgia, Michigan, Alabama and Colorado.  Maybe HATE is a strong word. They just don't buy candy like the rest of us.

COSTUME COSTS

The younger a person is, the more they spend on their costume.  People under 50 will spend up to $66.  People in their 50's and 60's spend the least...around $3....probably because we can enhance our aged features, to become so much more frightening than they normally are.
