I'm a sucker for old pictures. I love seeing how things have transformed over the years, or ever vanished completely, only to be remembered through a few select snap shots.

This week I found a group of pictures shared on Facebook by the St. Cloud State University Alumni Association. The first two photos in the set depict the old swimming and diving pool in Eastman Hall. It was originally opened in 1930 and was the only pool on campus until 1965 when Halenbeck Hall was built.

Almost 90 years later, the SCSU swim and dive team now have six lanes in their lap poo,l and a totally separate pool for the divers. Comparing the past and present is always a fun reminder of how far we have come, as well as remember where things all start! Have a great season SCSU swim and dive!
