HILLMAN -- A crowd not afraid to get down and dirty came out to this year's Memorial Day Weekend Mud Fest in Hillman.

Long time participant Chad Hunt says the event was created in the early 2000s by the Rinkel family.

"What started was I used to be apart of a mud club and we used to just put these events on and the mud club kind of broke apart and the Rinkels basically took it over [to create Mud Fest on their land]," says Hunt.

From live music to the free style competition, plenty of different events will keep you busy at Mud Fest.

"The racing is really getting popular we raced last night [Friday] and there is other events going on today...we got all kinds of stuff going on, every year it gets better and better and better," says Hunt.

Mud Fest continues tomorrow (Sunday) for ticket information click here.
