Things You Should Always Bring To A Twins Opener
This is my first time attending the Twins Opener! Chad Taylor and I are taking three of our lucky listeners and their guests to the game today to see the Twins take on the Oakland A's at 3:10.
The festivities started at 6 am this morning with breakfast, and will continue all day long. New food items are rolling out today as well. From listening to my fellow Minnesotans, here is a list of 10 things every Twins Fan should bring to a Twins Opener.
1. TWINS ATTIRE
Don't be caught at the season opener without your Twins attire- Shirts, jackets, hats....you know what to do.
2. YOUR BASEBALL GLOVE
You never know....Let's catch one.
3. COOL SUNGLASSES
There is NO room for rain in my world today.
4. BLANKETS
It's Minnesota. Bring a blanket in case it's cold...and a second for your neighbor.
5. AN EMPTY STOMACH
Chad's been dreaming of Hot Dogs and beer ever since he found out we were headed to the opener. There are also a few new items on the list this year.
6. PONCHO'S
If it does rain, you don't want to watch the game in wet clothes.
7. WARM CLOTHES
Dress in layers. You can always take some off, but you can't add many. Be warm.
8. A GREAT ATTITUDE
Bring the right attitude. Show your team spirit and pray for the win!
9. A FRIEND
There's nothing like good company at a great game.
10. TISSUES
Hey.....I've been told to expect a loss...but I'm going in praying for a win. The tissues can be for tears of joy or....to hand out to the other fans when their team loses.
