So why are we not hearing about an incredibly qualified candidate for public office? I want to know all of my options. Since I'm not feeling incredibly secure in either one of the popular candidates, it looks like I have a pretty good alternative.

WHO IS GARY JOHNSON?

Gary Johnson has been referred to as "the most fiscally conservative Governor" in the country, and was the Republican Governor of New Mexico from 1994-2003.

Before becoming Governor of New Mexico in 1994, Gary had started a door to door handyman business to help pay his way through college. Twenty years later, he had grown that business into one of the largest construction companies in New Mexico, with more than 1,000 employees.

WHAT HAS GOVERNOR JOHNSON DONE?

Governor Johnson has been said to bring a business-like mentality to governing, and believes that public policy decision should be based on costs and benefits, rather than strict ideology. Johnson is known for his veto record, having vetoed more than 750 bills during his time in office, which is more than all other Governors combined.  He was able to cut taxes 14 times without ONCE ever raising them. When he left office, New Mexico was one of only four states in the country with a balanced budget. Hello...I just said "balanced budget."  Does that mean anything to anyone?

Johnson retired from public office in 2003.

Now he's back, and you don't have to choose between Trump and Clinton if you're on the fence. You don't have to sit back and NOT vote. You have third choice. You just aren't hearing anything about it...and I think it's time you did.

Gary Johnson said, "I hope that people will see that we don't have to sit by the sidelines and watch was the two major parties limit their choices to slightly different flavors of the status quo. It is, in fact, possible to join the fray, stand up for principles and offer a real alternative."

Gary  is no slacker. He's an avid skier, adventurer, and bicyclist. He has scaled the highest peaks of each continent, including Mt. Everest.  In the 2012 election, Johnson placed third and garnered more votes than any other Libertarian Candidate in history. Johnson was raised Lutheran, and has two grown children. He's not married, and currently lives in a home that he built himself, in Taos, New Mexico.

HIS RUNNING MATE...MEET WILLIAM "BILL" WELD

Bill Weld was elected Governor of Massachusetts in 1990 with 51% of the vote, and re-elected in 1994 with 71% of the vote. While Bill was in office, Bill also cut taxes...A total of 21 times, including a phase out of long term capital gains tax, and did not permit any tax increases. in 92 he was rated the most fiscally conservative governor in the United States by the Wall Street Journal. During his first term, the unemployment rate in Massachusetts plummeted form the highest among the eleven industrialized states to the lowest.

Bill was behind work requirements for welfare recipients, resulting in a dramatic decrease in the state welfare budget. He was an early proponent of civil rights for gay people, and appointed the judge who wrote the opinion mandating marriage eaulity as a matter of constitutional right. He was also outspoken about a woman's right to choose whether to terminate a pregnancy, rather than have the decision made by the Government.

"Before my tenure, people didn't seem to think that citizens had a right to limit the size of their government."   -Bill Weld.

Bill and his wife have 8 kids.
