ST. CLOUD — Grab the family and get out and enjoy another wonderful weekend full of fun around Central Minnesota. GREAT Theatres performance of James and the Giant Peach comes to life this weekend, Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf is back at Pioneer Place, the District 742 Honor Band is holding their annual concert, Diamondback will rock the stage at Benton Station, and gather at St. Paul for the annual Crashed Ice skating competition.     GREAT Theatre is back with another 'peachy' performance this weekend with the show James and the Giant Peach. This adventurous musical features a boy named James who finds himself rolling through an adventure in the center of the gigantic peach with human sized bugs to boot! It's unlike anything you have seen before and fun for the whole family. Showtimes starts at 7:00 p.m. tomorrow (Friday) and 2:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Tickets run about $13.

    Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf

    Pioneer Place

    This classic story features a married couple, whose relationship is defined by verbal battles, fuels by alcohol. The story takes a turn when a faculty mixer lands a new university professor and his wife at the couples house and they get caught up in the antics as well and now are finding a need to hurt each other and everyone around them. Tickets for the show range between $19-$22. Showtimes start at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow (Friday) through Saturday and 2:00 p.m. on Sunday.

    Diamondback

    Benton Station Bar

    One of Central Minnesota's favorite bands will be on stage this weekend at Benton Station. DiamondBack has opened for acts such as Montgomery Gentry, and Miranda Lambert and are always learning new songs to keep their show fresh. You can catch them on the back stage starting at 10:00 p.m. tomorrow (Friday) night.

    Junior High Honor Band Concert

    St. Cloud State University

    You can hear some upcoming local musicians at St. Cloud State University this (Thursday) afternoon. The District 742 Junior High Honor Band is holding their fifth annual concert at Ritsche Auditorium starting at 2:30 p.m. Around 90 seventh, eighth and ninth grade musicians from the St. Cloud area schools will be performing. Admission to the concert is free and will last about an hour.

    Red Bull Crashed Ice

    St. Paul

    Thousands will be heading to the capital this weekend for a frozen event. The Red Bull Crash Ice competition kicks off tomorrow (Friday) to highlight fifth year. The ice cross downhill competition features skaters competing in four-man heats in a race to the bottom of a long ice track filled with obstacles. The event is free and open to the public! Gates open at 5:00 PM on Friday and Saturday.
