The College of St. Benedict and St. John's University are presenting Anton Chekhov's The Cherry Orchard. Heidi Hurrle is playing the role of Andreevna. "It's about a Russian Aristocratic lady who was very wealthy, but now she's in a lot of debt. She's about to lose a cherry orchard, and a former surf of hers has now made a name for himself, and he's trying to help her get it back," says Hurrle. The Cherry Orchard was originally written as a comedy, but it has been performed as a tragedy, like it did when the play originally debuted in 1904. However, the cast performing it now has taken the comedic route. Below is a video previewing the performance. This is the final weekend for this performance.
