The Weekender: Autumn Moon Gala, Puppets, BLIMP, & More!
Another entertainment-filled weekend in the central Minnesota with the Paramount Theatre's annual Autumn Moon Gala, a unique puppet show at The College of St. Benedict, and a variety of musical acts ranging from the art rock of the Galactic Cowboy Orchestra, the hard rock of BLIMP, and the rockabilly of Marty Stuart. Autumn Moon Gala
Paramount TheatreIt's a full night of fun at the Paramount Theatre on Saturday with the Autumn Moon Gala. A 6:00 p.m. social hour will lead to a show by stand-up comedian Wendy Liebman, who has been featured on the Late Show with David Letterman and the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson and Jay Leno. A dance party will then follow Liebman's show, featuring music by Collective Unconscious with special guest George Maurer. You can dance or you can relax, eat and enjoy the evening.

The Pigeoning
Gorecki Family TheaterIf you're looking for a uniquely bizarre and enjoyable experience, go to The College of St. Benedict on Saturday for The Pigeoning. The Pigeoning is a puppet show telling the story of Frank, an obsessive compulsive who becomes increasingly paranoid over a flock of pigeons. The Pigeoning is a humorous take on mankind's obsession with cleanliness and control. Tickets for this 8+ show are $22 with discounts for seniors and students.

BLIMP
Pioneer PlaceOne of Minnesota's most popular Led Zeppelin tribute bands returns to St. Cloud on Friday when BLIMPhits the stage at Pioneer Place. BLIMP features several musicians from around Minnesota who perfectly capture the crunching rock riffs of arguably the greatest rock and roll band in music history. Tickets are $14, $17 at the door.

Galactic Cowboy Orchestra
Great River ArtsThe Galactic Cowboy Orchestra brings their unique brand of energetic art rock to Great River Arts in Little Falls. The Minneapolis-based group boasts superior musicianship while covering everything from jazz and soul to rock and roll while you get your groove on. This is a show that no music fan should miss. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and tickets start at $10.

Marty Stuart
Medina Entertainment CenterCounty music artist Marty Stuart is bringing his mix of rockabilly and honky tonk to the Medina Entertainment Center this weekend. Stuart has been performing since age 12 and has performed with Merle Haggard, Travis Tritt and Johnny Cash-- whose daughter he later married. Stuart will be joined on stage by special guests The Hell Country Truckers. Doors open for this 21+ event at 7:30 p.m. and tickets start at just over $25.
