An award winning play from New Zealand is coming to the College of Saint Benedict in St. Joseph. Be sure to catch Indian Ink in action in their latest play, Kiss The Fish. GREAT Theatre Company is also hitting the stage with the creepy and kooky Addams Family Musical. There are two art exhibits to check out, on which pays tribute to a great Little Falls Artist. And, if you enjoy choir concerts, be sure to check out St. Cloud State University's Big Sing Festival.

    Indian Ink Presents Kiss The Fish

    Gorecki Family Theater - College of Saint Benedict

    Indian Ink is a traveling theater company from New Zealand. Their newest play, Kiss the Fish, won Play of the Year last year in New Zeland. Now as part of the United States debute, Indian Ink will be performing at the Gorecki Family Theater on the College of Saint Benedict. Actor Jacob Rajan says they use Balinese masks, and music in their comedy which also has a serious message behind it, preserving our environmental resources.

    The play is based on a true story from a small village in Malaysia. Tickets are $20 for adults, $17 for seniors, $10 for faculty/staff, and $10 for students/youth.

    GREAT Theatre Presents The Addams Family

    GREAT Theatre presents the creepy and kooky, mysterious and spooky family. In this hit musical all of your Addams Family characters are present, including Wednesday who has grown up, and fallen in love with a boy from a normal family. When his family comes over all the the Addams Family hijinks ensue. Director Chris Brown says this is a very funny show, with really great music.

    Tickets are $15 for a season member, $18 for students, $22 for seniors/educators/military/group, and $28 for adults. The show starts this weekend, and runs through February 15th.

    St. Cloud State University Big Sing Festival

    Ritsche Auditorium - St. Cloud State University

    St. Cloud State University plays host to over 200 high school and collegiate singers as part of their annual Big Sing. St. Cloud State University Concert Choir, Eastview High School Concert Choir, and the Big Sing Festival Choir will perform in Ritsche Auditorium in Stewart Hall. Yale University's Jeffery Douma serves as the guest conductor. Tickets are available at the door, and are $5 for adults, $3 for students/seniors, and free with a St. Cloud State ID.

    A new exhibit started up this week at the Gorecki Gallery at the College of Saint Benedict. Sean Connaughty's O2 exhibit features water.  Floating biospheres in aquariums unite science, physics, and ecology though Connaughty's imagination. The 02 exhibit will be running through March 20th. The Gallery is open Monday - Saturday from 10:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m., and on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. There will be an Artist Reception held on Thursday, February 12th from 4:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.  Connaughty will be speaking at 6:00 p.m.

    Warren Woodworth Retrospective

    In the Front Gallery at Great River Arts you can find the work of a Little Falls artist, Warren Woodworth. He is recognized as a self-taught artist. This exhibit is titled Celebrating an Artist - 10 Years Gone, and is in honor of the 10th Anniversary of Woodworth's passing. The work is on loan from ten private collections, and is curated by Charles Kapsner, and Dr. Philip Prosapio. Woodworth's garden and mansion are also among Little Fall's greatest treasures. This exhibit runs though February 28th. Great River Arts is closed Sunday - Tuesday, but is open Wednesday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
