It's Art Crawl number two this weekend. Come to downtown St. Cloud and continue to celebrate 10 years of Art Crawls. If you like music outside then it's your weekend. You can catch Rock the Park 6 up in Little Falls or relax by the Mississippi River for Music in the Gardens. The Veranda Spring Open House will also be featuring music as well as some prizes. Finally the St. Cloud Municipal Band will have a performance at Palmer Township Park in Clear Lake.

    Art Crawl

    Downtown St. Cloud

    It's time for another Art Crawl in downtown St. Cloud. It will take place on Friday from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.  Some of the highlights include Heidi Jeub at the Veranda Lounge, a Clemens/Munsinger Gardens Photo Contest in the Paramount Lobby, and the SCSU Art Student Union at the White Horse and Gallery Vault. A CSB/SJU student documentary team is also presenting "Extending the Link", which focuses on under reported social justice issues. Of course there are many more artists and venues  you can check out at the St. Cloud Downtown Art Crawl.

    Music in the Gardens

    The 16th season of the Music in the Gardens series kicks off this weekend on Sunday. The concerts are held on alternating Sundays at 3:00 p.m. Come listen to some great music near the gazebo in Munsinger Garden next to the Mississippi River. The first group to hit the stage is Granite City Brass. The brass band features Steve Hogenson on trupets and Flugel Horn, Heidi Martinson on Trumpets and Flugell Horn, Patty Diederichs on French Horn, Kenton Frohrip on Trombone, and John Ingman on Tuba. Granite City Brass has two CDs out, including one entitled "Music in the Park". The Munsinger Clemens Botanical Society will again be selling root beer floats at the event. All of the concerts this summer are free.

    Great River Arts Rock the Park 6

    The popular Rock The Park Concert hits the stage tonight at Maple Island Park in Little Falls. The concert will feature John Fedor at 6:00 p.m. and then at 7:00 p.m. Brothers Tone & The Big Grove will take the stage. The majority of the performers are from the Little Falls area. Food and beverages will be available at the event including nachos, popcorn, burgers, brats, pizza, pop, beer, and wine. Axle Grill Food Truck, Texas Best BBQ Food, CC's Frozen Treats, and S.S. Kettle Corn will be there as well. Before the music kicks off the Kid's Art in the Park will be taking place from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. There will be art stations and projects for kids of all ages. All of the events are free.

    St. Cloud Municipal Band Concert

    Palmer Township Park - Clear Lake

    The St. Cloud Municipal Band will be holding a performance at the Palmer Township Park from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Every year the band performs over twenty free concerts around the area. They have plenty more concerts coming up including a joint concert with the Red Bull Band at Hester Park on July 4th. They will also be in Barden Park starting on July 9th.

    Veranda Spring Open House

    This free event runs from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. this Saturday. It's the 8th Annual Spring Open House. Greg Johnson will be the first to take the stage right at 5:00 p.m. Then at 7:00 p.m. Minnesota Music Hall of Fame Inductee Mick Sterling will take the stage with Cate Fiero and other guests. You can stick around after the event to listen to The Cheese Bots, who are making their Veranda Lounge debut. Nick's Third Floor Restaurant will have appetizers as well. There will be door prizes being drawn for through out the event including season tickets to Pioneer Place's 2015-2016 season, Justin Ploof and The Throwbacks music series, The Fabulous Armadillos Sounds of Summer, and V.I.P. Tickets to Takin' It To The Streets Music Festival. Other prizes include gift cards, wines, shirts, hats, collectibles, and glassware.
