The one thing I can't live without in the summer is a kick-butt playlist! I make one every year and they live on my old iPod Nano for eternity (or until the battery dies). Billboard recently put together a list of the biggest summer songs of all time! Here were the top 10!

  1. "I'll Be Missing You" - Puff Daddy and Faith Evans from 1997
  2. "The Boy is Mine" - Brandy and Monica from 1998
  3. "Tossin' and Turnin'" - Bobby Lewis from 1961
  4. "Blurred Lines" - Robin Thicke, TI and Pharrell from 2013
  5. "Every Breath You Take" - The Police from 1983
  6. "We Belong Together" - Mariah Carey from 2005
  7. "I Just Want to be Your Everything" Andy Gibb from 1977
  8. "When the Doves Cry" - Prince and the Revolution from 1984
  9. "Everything I Do (I Do It For You)" - Bryan Adams from 1991
  10. "Alone Again (naturally)" - Gillbert O'Sullivan from 1972

After reading this list I wasn't too convinced. Sure Bilboard tracks everything based on numbers but these can't be the best summer songs ever! Here are my top 5 picks!

  1. "The Boys of Summer" - Don Henley from 1984
  2. "Your Love" - The Outfield from 1985
  3. "Ocean Avenue" - Yellowcard from 2003
  4. "All Summer Long" - Kid Rock from 2007
  5. "Summer Girls" - LFO from 1999

These are the songs I blast at top volume in my car summer after summer. What is your favorite summer song? Share it with me in the comments!
