I don't really know how to begin to tell you how much fun the One Direction concert at TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis was. I was sitting in the second to last row of the upper deck (pretty much as far away from the stage as it gets) and it was still amazing.

Icona Pop took the state at about 7 p.m. and performed for about an hour. The girls had tons of energy and really seemed to know how to get the crowd fired up. They were a great opening act. It felt like it was 100 degrees outside and they danced around the stage with sweat dripping from their faces like the heat didn't bother them.

One Direction finally took the stage at about 8:30 p.m. and fireworks were shot off at the same time they stepped out in front of the crowd. It was a moment in time that I had only dreamed about. The guys had such a high energy level and great stage presence that I didn't even remember that Zayne was missing from the group.

The band played for about two hours performing hits like "That's What Makes You Beautiful," "Little Things," "One Thing," "Night Changes." "Story Of My Life," and more. They ran through about 24 songs including the encore.

It was exciting to see the group interact with the crowd and share stories from their lives and the tour. They took time to read out loud a few posters fans had made. One girl made a poster that asked the One Direction to help prove to her mother that spending money to come to the show a second time was worth it. Liam decided to jump off of the stage and kiss the girl. He asked if that would be enough proof that it was worth it. I think the girl and the crowd agreed that it would be.

The guys noticed someone's grandma in the crowd. She had her headphones on and was listening to other music. They called her out on it and made her laugh. They asked the whole crowd (45,000-50,000 people) to help sing "Happy Birthday" to her even though her birthday was in March.

The group kept thanking the fans for their support and seemed genuinely appreciative of the fact that they were performing in a giant stadium. It was such an amazing performance that there really wasn't a bad seat in the house!
