A recent survey found that the average employee spends $18 every day on meals, snacks and coffee.  If you add it up, that means your spending $4,230 per year just eating and drinking at the office. If you make $50K per year, that's approx 8% of your salary just on food.

I eat out almost every day, and I'm a tad under the $18 average, but even at $10 per day it adds up fast.  I've been more conscious of my bottom line lately, and I'm trying to bring more left overs to the office, or just pack a sandwich.  I will still allow myself to eat out a few days a week, but not to the tune of $18 per day. I'm already working two jobs.

How much do you spend per day / per week on eating out?
