With Seth MacFarlane's 'A Million Ways to Die in the West' hitting theaters relatively soon, the director is wasting no time getting to work on 'Ted 2,' the follow-up to his live-action directorial debut featuring Mark Wahlberg and MacFarlane himself as the voice of the lovable, foulmouthed teddy bear. Today brings news that the film has made its latest casting acquisition, and MacFarlane is keeping things close to home: Amanda Seyfried, who also stars in 'A Million Ways,' signed on for the female lead in 'Ted 2.'

The Wrap reports that while Seyfried will star opposite Wahlberg, original 'Ted' star Mila Kunis will have a diminished role -- presumably we'll see the relationship between Kunis and Wahlberg's characters disintegrate at the outset of the film. Though, it's unclear why the actress won't be a bigger part of 'Ted 2.'

Seyfried also stars in 'A Million Ways to Die in the West,' MacFarlane's upcoming live-action Western comedy, which hits theaters on May 30. Kunis, who has long been the voice of Meg on MacFarlane's animated series 'Family Guy,' appears next in the Wachowskis' 'Jupiter Ascending.'

'Ted 2' is currently slated for a June 26, 2015 release.
