Sartell is known for being a safe town in the heart of central Minnesota. With so much bad news in the world, it’s endearing and entertaining to see some of the police calls that the Sartell Police Department has to respond to.

The department updates their blotter weekly on their Facebook page. It’s safe to say, reading their blotter is my not so secret addiction. Some of my favorites from this week include; residents who called the police because a taxi was dropping kids off from school, a door was open to a home and the police were called to shut it and more! Here are my favorites from this week;

Feb. 6 · 9:47 pm. Riverside Ave. Motorist Assist. While on patrol, an officer located a vehicle on the side of the roadway with its hazard lights on. The driver stated that the passenger had become ill and they needed to pull over. The officer provided safety lights until they left."

"Feb. 7 · 9:02 am. Brianna Drive. Suspicious Activity. A report was made regarding a door left open to a residence. An officer spoke with the resident, who stated that the door was broken and they were aware of the issue. The residence was secured."

"Feb. 9 · 2:12 pm. 27th Street North. Suspicious Vehicle. A report was made regarding a taxi possibly picking a child up and parking on a nearby street. The vehicle was located and it was found that they had dropped a person off at the school and were waiting for another pick up. No further action was taken."
