The weather is looking really good for Saturday, what better way to get ready for Earth Day than be out at one of our beautiful local parks!

Quarry 11 in the Quarry Park and Nature Preserve has been ranked as the best beach in Minnesota by Orbitz.

What was once the site for one of Central Minnesota's booming granite industry, is now the home to some of the best outdoor adventures around.

Plenty of hot chocolate and chili will keep you warm at this year's Moonlight Ski event at Quarry Park and Nature Preserve.

There is much to do this Labor Day weekend in Central Minnesota with the The St. Cloud State University football home opener, Country Music Star Trace Adkins performing at Mystic Lake, a day at Quarry Park and Nature Preserve, Anthony Perry playing his guitar at Pioneer Place and the Great Minnesota Get Together in St. Paul. Well, it hasn't stuck around yet, but I'm putting my money on getting some snow this winter. Once it's here, the Stearns County Parks Department will need cross-country ski patrol volunteers. Volunteers can sign-up online and will get a free Quarry Park annual sticker.
