Devil's Lake High School is cracking down on girls wearing yoga pants, jeggings, leggings and skinny jeans in an effort to protect young boys from distractions at school. Is this sending the wrong message?

Google put together a video for the class of 2014. My oldest daughter, Makenzie graduates next weekend, and this made me think of her.

Back-to-school season is well underway, which also means homework is once again a reality. Ugh, major bummer. But when you're a youngster, homework isn't all that bad! That's because kids make it way less boring by being straight up and honest (read: hilarious).

Rather than referencing 'My Little Pony' or 'Twilight,' one Texas student decided to use his chance to speak at his high school graduation to come out as gay. *Then* Mitch Anderson started making references -- to Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Zachary Quinto's eyebrows, the chorus of a Nicki Minaj song, etc.

Homework was never easy for Chelesa Fearce -- mostly because she didn't have a home to do it in.

This kid's got big brass ones. Or maybe he was just fed up. Actually, we figure it probably requires a combination of both to pull off a stunt like this.

As a way to help combat obesity, new federal guidelines were recently put in place stipulating that schools serve meals totaling no more than 850 calories. Since then, some students say the new low-cal lunches simply aren't enough. One group of students at Wallace County High in Kansas even created a protest song called 'We are Hungry' that parodies Fun.'s 'We are Young.'

Believe it or not, it is time for high school football. The season begins next Friday night. Locally, the Central Lakes Conference is ready for another fantastic, and competitive, season.
