We picnicked at the Eiffel Tower, we had breakfast at outdoor cafes, and we shopped in cute Parisian boutiques. One of our favorite memories, though, was visiting the Notre-Dame de Paris. The history was tangible, the artwork breathtaking and the views stunning.

Paris was a perfect way to end our trip; we loved everything about it. After busy, bustling and hectic London, Paris was quieter, more reserved, less quiet. There was a charm about it that we could physically sense. While we understood very little French, we were enraptured by the sound of it spoken and did our very best to use bits and phrases when we could.

Once again, it wasn't easy.  But I don't think they are doing this to us on purpose. The U.S. Woman's Soccer Team beat France 3-1, this afternoon, to advance to the World Cup Final on Sunday. Just as they did against Brazil, the Americans scored first, and led at halftime, 1-0...
