ST. CLOUD -- A faith-based group which works for racial fairness and economic equality in Minnesota is sending a group down to St. Paul today (Thursday). ISAIAH will be lobbying lawmakers to extend the Northstar Commuter Rail to St. Cloud.

ISAIAH St. Cloud Region Organizer Anne Buckvold says if the train came all the way to St. Cloud, it would give people more job opportunities. She says ridership numbers would likely rise and St. Cloud residents want the train here.

Buckvold says they plan to meet with State Representative Jim Knoblach of St. Cloud and hope to also meet with the other House members from the St. Cloud area.

The group is working with Knoblach to try to lock down how much it would cost to bring the train to St. Cloud.
