The Stingers topped the Rox 7-3 Monday night at Bill Taunton Stadium in Willmar Monday night. The loss ends St. Cloud’s winning streak at six games.

The Rox led 3-1 after two innings but could not hold on to the lead when the Stingers plated two runs in each of the fourth and fifth innings.

St. Cloud outfielder Eric Loxtercamp had another strong game at the plate, going 3-5 to raise his batting average to .329 on the season. Clay Ardeeser was 2-4 in the game.

Will Craig was roughed up on the mound for St. Cloud, lasting 4.2 innings while allowing five runs on five hits.

St. Cloud is scheduled to host Waterloo Tuesday night at Joe Faber Field with first pitch scheduled for 7:05.
