Star Wars Themed Winter Festival Ready To Take Over Downtown St. Cloud
ST. CLOUD - Several days of winter fun are in store for you in St. Cloud.
The Weihnachtsmarkts - or Christmas Market - kicks things off Thursday in downtown St. Cloud, under the new parking ramp.
Downtown Council President Pegg Gustafson says Friday you can join the "Empire Pub Run & Plunge". It runs from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
On Saturday there's the "Winter Wonderland" starting at 1:00 p.m. at Lake George. The Capital One Winter Blast is from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m., and the "Skywalker Parade" starts at 5:00 p.m. on St. Germain Street. This is the 16th year of the winter parade in downtown St. Cloud. After the parade, a Jedi tree lighting will be at about 6:00 p.m. at the corner 10th Avenue and St. Germain Street. The St. Cloud Symphony Orchestra and the Apollo choir will perform.
On Sunday there will be a softball tournament at Whitney.
The theme this year for the three-day Winter Night's and Lights festival is "May The Frost Be With You".
