ST. CLOUD -- A man who is accused of accosting three people at St. Cloud bus stops this week has been formally charged.

Thirty-four-year-old Ahmed Nur has been charged with felony drug possession for having approximately 44 grams of the drug Khat on him at the time of his arrest. Khat is a leafy drug which is considered a stimulant and is illegal in the United States.

Nur caused alarm when he approached three different people in a threatening manner at three different locations in north St. Cloud Tuesday morning. Nur is accused of grabbing the arm of one woman and telling her to go with him, demanding money and a cell phone from a man at a different stop and finally making strange arm gestures to another woman.

Nur is making his initial court appearance Thursday.
