ST. CLOUD -- The St. Cloud Hospital has been recognized for something only 14 hospitals nationally have done.

The hospital has been named a 100 Top Hospital for the 10th time by Truven Health Analytics.

St. Cloud Hospital President Craig Broman says the award isn't something they apply for, but instead earned based on public feedback.

"Out of their calculations, it's strictly objective on their part, we have been the recipient for the 10th time which we are extremely proud of because we do believe it's a very objective, independent analysis," says Broman.

The award measures overall organizational performance in 11 key analytic measures relating to patient care outcomes, operational efficiency and financial stability.

Broman says even with the honor, they will to continue to improve patient care.

"We're just pleased to be in a very elite status and again it's a journey we can get better and we are committed to be better," says Broman.

The only other Minnesota hospital to achieve this mark is Rochester Methodist Hospital (part of the Mayo Clinic system).
