St. Ben’s and St. John’s to Celebrate Diversity with Cultural Festival

ST. JOSEPH -- College of St. Benedict and St. John's University students are celebrating diversity on Saturday with the 19th annual Festival of Cultures.

The event will showcase diversity through student performances, cultural food sampling and a fashion show.

Student performances will be celebrating various cultures from Mexico, Latin America, Somalia, Japan, the Caribbean, Africa, South Korea, Hmong, Bahamas, Ireland, Ethiopia, Trinidad and Tobago.

About 30 different booths representing different countries will be at the event along with 15 students walking in this year's fashion show.

The festival will be in the St. Ben's Clemens Field House at 5 p.m. Saturday. Cost to attended the event is $2.00.
