ROCKVILLE - Some Rockville residents and city council members are unhappy about the future path of the ROCORI Trail.

Current plans for the ROCORI Trail have the path going directly behind many homeowners properties. Many of these homeowners believe this is a major loss of privacy and also a safety concern.

Rockville City Council member Jerry Tippelt, who spoke out on the issue during the meeting, says he spoke up because he had a lot of concerned citizens come to him about the issue.

" The ROCORI Trail has bought the railroad bed and it runs right in the backyards of our residents, and they feel their backyards are sacred places. They are literally inviting people from all over the state to come through their backyard. Would you put your child outside not knowing who is coming through your backyard?"

The ground breaking ceremony for the ROCORI Trail is on May 4th.
