I remember when having great friends (in person), being fantastic at your job and having the respect and admiration of your peers was all you needed to feel good about yourself. But now we live in a world of "like me on Facebook", "follow me on Twitter", check me out on Instagram, listen to me on Soundcloud, put me in your google+ circle, view me on youtube and whatever else is coming down the pike. I personally swore off facebook and twitter until very recently. Don't get me wrong…I love computers and all things tech. I'm on them like 18-20 hours a day. In fact, I'm a tech geek not a technophobe. But all this pressure to "like me", "tweet me", "follow me", "listen to me" and "watch me" seems so narcissistic. And yes…of course I see the immense marketing power and coolness of connecting with your audience or just sharing photos with family, friends etc, and a hundred other positive things. But am I the only guy in the room who feels that all this social media participation has taken away from our work days and personal lives. Come on people…I see you every where I go. In restaurants, bars, clubs, concerts, you name it. Your all there with your smart phones looking down and tapping away. You're not even looking or talking to that beautiful person or group of friends you went out with. And seriously, how much time do you think is wasted every day of every week. I'd love your thoughts. Why don't you like me on Facebook and follow me on Twitter and tell me what you think! :-)

Now back to the music!!!  This week I put an extra dose of love and sonic brilliance into some really great remixes. I can't wait to mix it all together in one non-stop groove fest this weekend. Your gonna freak when you hear what I've done to Demi Lovato - "Heart Attack", JT/Jay Z - "Suit & Tie", Taylor Swift - "22" and Calvin Harris - "Sweet Nothing". I've also got new bangers from Zedd, Icona Pop, Cher Lloyd and Little Mix. Tune in 10pm Saturday night to catch all the excitement. There's ton's of great stuff to hear like Krewella - "Alive", Muse - "Madness", One Direction - "Kiss You" and a whole new uptempo take on Macklemore & Ryan Lewis - "Thrift Shop". Oh yeah, almost forgot…I've got a special re-working of an old classic and my pick-to-hit. It's all back to back and beat to beat music sets with no commercial interruption. Don't miss it!!!

Remember…if it's hot, if it's new and it makes you wanna move…you're In The Mix with HK.
