Sleepy Driver Rolls Vehicle On Interstate 94

MONTICELLO - The Minnesota State Patrol says a pick-up driver fell asleep behind the wheel, causing him to roll his vehicle.

It happened at about 3:15 p.m. Sunday on Interstate 94 in Wright County.

Seventy-five-year-old Edwin Sowers of Minneapolis was going east in the left lane.  Meanwhile, a semi driven by 43-year-old Ian Plett of Manitoba was in the right eastbound lane.

The State Patrol says Sowers fell asleep causing his vehicle to swerve and collide with the front corner of the semi. The pick-up spun out of control and rolled.
