Simon Cowell Calls Off Engagement

Simon Cowell has called off his engagement to girlfriend Mezhgan Hussainy, but the relationship is not over yet.

Two years ago Simon said that Mezhgan could be the one! That still may be, but in a statement Simon had this to say about the engagement being called off.

"It's quite a complicated relationship.  We have had a break from each other, and we are still incredibly close.  I'm vulnerable.  It's not on, it's not off, it's somewhere in the middle.  I don't know if I will ever get married, but I am happy."

Not that I am a relationship expert, but I wouldn't consider this a good thing. I get a lot of dating advice from 'Sex and the City,' and I don't think the girls would approve of the engagement being called off. If they are still dating, then why call it off. Was there even a set date for the nuptials? Who said that you have to get married after being engaged for a certain amount of time.
