Severe Weather Awareness Week: Tornado Drills On Thursday

UNDATED - This is "Severe Weather Awareness Week" in Minnesota.

Each day is devoted to a specific topic: today (Monday) is alerts and warnings, tomorrow (Tuesday) is severe weather, lightning and hail, Wednesday is floods, Thursday is floods, and Friday is extreme heat.

The annual statewide tornado drills are scheduled for Thursday at 1:45 p.m. and again at 6:55 p.m.

Meanwhile, the Benton County Skywarn Training will be held at the Sauk Rapids-Rice high school in the Performing Arts Center on Wednesday, April 27th at 7:00 p.m. This training is open to anyone from any county. For more information call Charlie at (320) 251-7844.
