ST. CLOUD -- Search warrants related to the Jacob Wetterling abduction case were unsealed this (Friday) morning.

One of the warrants was used in the digging search of the Rassier farm in St. Joseph in 2010.

The farm is near the site where Jacob was abducted in 1989.

Investigators interviewed Daniel Rassier a number of times over the years, including under hypnosis and by having Patty Wetterling wear a wire while asking Rassier about the case.

The documents show Rassier told authorities about a car which had turned around in the family's driveway. Through the information obtained in the interviews, investigators considered Rassier a person of interest in the case and had all but ruled out a car in the driveway despite Rassier's assertion there was a car there around the time Jacob was abducted.

Records show Rassier made several comments to Patty Wetterling which were recorded on the wire that authorities had bungled the case.

Despite the boys' assertion they didn't see any vehicle that night, Rassier was steadfast that whoever took Jacob was the driver of the car. Fifty-three-year-old Danny Henrich admitted in federal court this week to turning around in the Rassier driveway before abducting and killing Jacob.

Calls to Daniel Rassier have not been returned.
