STEARNS COUNTY - A Sartell man was able to escape without being hurt after the vehicle he was driving started on fire.

The incident happened at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday on Stearns County Road 1, south of Stearns County Road 5 in Brockway Township.

The Stearns County Sheriff's Office says 51-year-old Steven Schwartz was driving his daughter's 2006 Chevy Trailblazer to Frederick's Auto Shop for repairs, when the engine overheated.

The vehicle started on fire. Schwartz was able to get out in time and wasn't hurt.

The Stearns County Sheriff's Office and St. Stephen Fire Department responded to the incident.
