Sometimes we forget that celebrities are just like you and I. Their lives are not always perfect as the pictures show. Sarah Hyland who plays Haley Dunphy on ABC's "Modern Family," revealed that she's been battling kidney disease since she was a little girl.

Sarah, who is now 21, was interviewed for "Seventeen" Magazine and also with ABC News and said that it was her Dad who saved her life.

"You know that family is always going to be there for you no matter what. My dad gave me a freakin' kidney! I have a second chance at life, not a lot of people get that."

In the above photo, Sarah credits her boyfriend, Matt Prokop, for being there to help take care of her. (If you watched MF last week, he starred at Ethan.)

"He helps me with my medication and takes me to doctor appointments and all the stuff that I need to do to take care of myself. Any other 21-year-old guy would not be there, I guarantee it.  I am one of the luckiest people in the world to have him be there for me."

I'm always happy to share good news; glad Sarah will be OK. Sadly, many others are still waiting on the donors list. CLICK HERE to see how you may be able to save someones life.
