The Rox earned a huge win last night over LaCrosse by a 6-5 final score in 11 innings.  St. Cloud is now just three games out of first place thanks to Waterloo’s loss at Battle Creek.

Three Rox pitchers combined for 19 strikeouts in the game.  Kyle Fischer started for St. Cloud, lasting five innings but allowing four runs on six hits. The SCSU pitcher recorded seven strikeouts.

Alex McRae was excellent in relief, allowing just two hits and no walks while striking out six Loggers. McRae did, however, allow the game-tying run in the bottom of the ninth inning.

Adam Maxon got the win for St. Cloud, pitching 2.1 innings while allowing three hits and striking out six LaCrosse batters.

Clay Williamson got the game-winning hit in the top of the eleventh inning.

St. Cloud is back home Friday night for a matchup with the Rochester Honkers.
