Rocori Wins Big To Advance Tuesday

Cold Spring -- ROCORI was a 33-7 winner over Little Falls last night in the Section 8-4-A Quarterfinals. Going into the second half Little falls wanted to get their offense going on all cylinders and to get their defense holding Rocori. For the Rocori Spartans they just wanted to keep doing what they have been doing all game and that is play smart football. Even though the weather played a factor earlier in the game.

There was not a whole lot of scoring in the third quarter. Rocori would be the first team to score. They would score on a 40 yard touchdown reception from Connor Schoborg to Derek Thompson to make the score 27-0. Rocori would also score on a 10 yard touchdown run by Matt Koshiol and a missed extra point would make the score 33-0.

The only score of the fourth quarter would be a rushing touchdown by Nick Maslowski from Little Falls with 18 seconds left would make the score 33-7. The final score of the game Little Falls 7 and Rocori 33. Little Falls quarterback Michael Gross finishes the game 47-10, 37 passing yards, and 2 interceptions. Rocori quarterback Connor Schoborg finishes the game 5-7 and 90 passing yards. With the loss Little Falls finishes their season at 2-7 and are officially eliminated from the playoffs. With the win Rocori moves to 6-3 on the season and advance in the playoffs.
