COLD SPRING - The ROCORI School District is seeing another slight uptick in enrollment numbers going into this school year.

"We're seeing our third consecutive year of improved and growing enrollment. That's exciting to us as a school district after a number of years of declining enrollment," ROCORI Superintendent Scott Staska says.

ROCORI will start the year with just over 2,075 students. Three years ago there were less than 2,000 students in the District.

Staska has previously said the district had about 12 years of declining enrollment before the increases. District officials says more families appear to be moving into the Richmond, Cold Spring and Rockville communities.

This school year will also mark the 50th year of operation for the ROCORI District.

"It's fun and exciting for us to share that this is ROCORI's 50th year of existence and students will be invited to use the anniversary as they celebrate events during the course of the year: like homecoming or other events with students involved," Staska says.
